Safety Our #1 Priority

Romero's #1 priority is SAFETY in the work place and takes great pride with our excellent safety record. All of our field employees are provided with personal protective equipment. Upon initial employment each employee is provided a copy of our safety policy and it is reviewed with him/her. Foremen are trained on our Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Each project has a job site specific Program including Activity Hazard Analysis which are reviewed with employees and subcontractors on a regular basis. All of our Foremen and Superintendents carry certificates for the EM385 1-1 and 30 Hour OSHA. Tailgate safety meetings are held weekly with field employees and subcontractors at all job sites. Over the last 5 years, Romero has received over 20 NAVFAC Star Safety Awards and presently has an EMR of 72.

Subcontractor Safety Prequalification

At Romero General Construction Corp., safety is our top priority. To maintain the highest safety standards across all projects, we require all subcontractors to undergo a rigorous prequalification process. This ensures that the subcontractors we work with are committed to upholding the same safety protocols and ethical business practices that we adhere to.

By prequalifying subcontractors, we can better understand their safety practices and determine the level of scrutiny required for their work. This proactive approach helps mitigate risks, protect workers, and ensure that every project meets the highest safety standards.

Romero is committed to fostering a safe and ethical working environment. Our subcontractor safety prequalification process is a critical part of achieving this goal and ensuring that all projects are completed safely and efficiently.
